…commissions completed projects in Kaduna
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, has declared that President Bola Tinubu has demonstrated the courage to undertake difficult economic reforms that previous administrations were afraid to implement, expressing optimism that the country would soon overcome its current economic challenges.
Hon. Tajudeen, who spoke on Sunday while commissioning completed constituency projects in Kubau and Ikara Local Government Areas of Kaduna State, said the President had laid a new foundation for the country’s development, urging Nigerians to support his re-election in 2027 to consolidate the gains of his administration.
The projects were part of the 86 projects facilitated by the Speaker across Kaduna North Senatorial District, covering critical sectors, including education, healthcare and infrastructure.
The commissioning ceremonies also featured groundbreaking activities for additional projects aimed at improving access to education and essential services in the benefiting communities.

In Kubau Local Government Area, the Speaker commissioned a primary healthcare centre in Zabi, while performing the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) study centre and a hall in Anchau.
Other projects included a block of 10 classrooms, with offices and toilets on one suspended floor in Anchau, as well as a library in Kargi.
Similarly, in Ikara Local Government Area, Tajudeen commissioned a primary healthcare centre and performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a road linking Sani Ahmed Junction to Central Primary School.
He also flagged off the construction of a NOUN study centre with a hall and a block of 10 classrooms, including offices and toilets, to expand educational opportunities in the area.
The Speaker said the projects demonstrated the commitment of the All Progressives Congress-led Federal Government and the Kaduna State Government to addressing the immediate needs of the people, particularly in education, healthcare and other essential areas of human development.
He stated that President Tinubu’s administration had established a national framework for reforms and investment, which Governor Uba Sani had translated into development initiatives across Kaduna State, while his position as Speaker had enabled him to attract federal projects to his constituency.
“The surest way to protect this progress is to preserve the partnership behind it. President Tinubu has created a national framework for reform and investment.
“Governor Uba Sani has brought that vision into Kaduna communities. I have used the mandate you entrusted to me to attract projects and defend the interests of our people in Abuja. We must keep this partnership working,” he said.
Hon. Tajudeen, who linked the projects to the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda, said the administration had expanded student financing, invested in educational facilities and supported the revitalisation of primary healthcare centres across the country.
He maintained that sustained investment in these sectors was essential to improving the living conditions of Nigerians and building a stronger economy.
“It is only President Bola Ahmed Tinubu who has demonstrated the courage to embark on difficult reforms that others before him were afraid to touch. And having redesigned the foundation and trajectory of the country, the days of pain and difficulty are almost over, only if we all support the President to return and continue his good work,” the Speaker said.
He further described Tinubu as a dependable ally of Kaduna State, noting that the President had facilitated the establishment of new federal institutions in the state within three years of his administration. According to him, Kaduna had not enjoyed such a level of federal support since the era of the late Sardauna of Sokoto, Sir Ahmadu Bello, more than five decades ago.
The Speaker listed the Federal University of Education, Zaria; the Federal University of Applied Sciences, Kafanchan; and the University of Petroleum in Kaduna among the institutions approved by the President.
He also cited the recent upgrade of Kaduna Polytechnic to a university of technology, describing the developments as evidence of the administration’s commitment to expanding educational opportunities in the state.
Speaker Tajudeen, who recalled that Tinubu supported his emergence as Speaker of the House in 2023, said the President’s contributions to Kaduna State deserved recognition and continued support.
He disclosed that Kubau and Ikara local government areas would each receive an additional 18 to 20 projects in the 2027 national budget, subject to the President’s approval, to sustain the development momentum in the communities.
He also charged contractors handling the projects to adhere strictly to approved specifications and ensure that quality was not sacrificed for profit, stressing that the facilities were intended to serve generations of residents rather than merely satisfy official inspections.
“Build carefully. Use the proper materials. Follow the approved design. Do not exchange durability for quick profit. We are not building for an inspection. We are building for a generation,” he warned.
The Speaker urged residents of Kubau and Ikara to support the APC and its candidates in the 2027 general elections, arguing that continuity in government would enable the Federal Government, Kaduna State Government and elected representatives to sustain ongoing development projects.
He said, “In 2027, support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term. Support Governor Uba Sani. Support APC candidates who will cooperate across every level of government. Vote for continuity with accountability. Vote for experience with energy. Vote for work that can be seen and a future that can be secured.”
Hon. Tajudeen reiterated that the development of both local government areas depended on maintaining the existing partnership among President Tinubu, Governor Uba Sani and the National Assembly leadership, urging the people to sustain their cooperation with the APC-led governments to attract more projects and consolidate investments in education, healthcare and infrastructure.
