Netanyahu Says He Knows How to Overthrow Iran’s Regime
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reportedly said he is determined to bring about the downfall of Iran’s Islamic Republic, claiming that he now knows “how to achieve it.”
Netanyahu reportedly said that Israel has already come a significant distance toward that objective but emphasized that “there is still work to be done.”
His remarks signal an increasingly direct Israeli focus on Iran’s political leadership, amid ongoing tensions between the two countries and continuing confrontation over Iran’s nuclear program, regional influence, and military capabilities.
Netanyahu’s message: Israel is not only seeking to weaken Iran’s military capabilities but, according to his comments, is also pursuing a broader strategic objective involving the future of the Iranian regime.
Tehran’s response: Any explicit Israeli call for regime change is likely to be viewed by Iranian authorities as a direct threat to the Islamic Republic and could further escalate tensions between the two sides.
⚠️ The key question: What exactly Netanyahu means by having discovered the “secret” to overthrowing the Iranian regime remains unclear. His statement does not by itself demonstrate that Israel has a viable or imminent plan to achieve regime change.
Could this mark a shift from targeting Iran’s military infrastructure toward a broader campaign aimed at political change in Tehran?
