In the 34th minute, Argentina put together a good move. Falfán found space and received the ball inside the box to reduce Brazil’s lead.
Arthur Elias’s team began the second half with intensity, with Jhonson and Kerolin creating good chances, but in the seventh minute, Holzheiner was brought down by Isabela inside the box. Bonsegundo converted the penalty to level the score at 2–2.
In the 12th minute, Kerolin was about to take a throw-in when Argentina’s Sofía Dominguez pulled her hair to delay the play and was sent off. Arthur Elias then made six substitutions, and the changes quickly had an impact. With her first involvement, Marília shot over the goal, exciting the crowd. Geyse also tried her luck, but goalkeeper Esponda made a great save.
The crowd began urging Brazil forward. With a player advantage, Brazil pressed for a third goal, while Argentina defended and tried to find an opening on the counterattack.
The coach made four more substitutions, keeping Brazil on the attack as they searched for a goal right until the end. The match finished in a 2–2 draw.
