Files relating to several civil cases were destroyed in a fire that broke out on Thursday morning (22) in the Third Section of the District Judicial Court of Moatize, in Tete province.
Notícias Online visited the court shortly before publication and found that, by the end of last month, this court section now destroyed by the fire had around 2,000 cases relating to debts, marriages, land, matters involving minors and other issues.
The cause of the fire is not yet known, although it is thought that it may have been caused by a short circuit at around 6:00 a.m.
The court has promised to comment on the incident in the coming days.
