The Kwara Alliance for Tinubu and Shettima 2027 (KATS) has congratulated its chairman, Ibrahim Mohammed Ajia, on his appointment to the Directorate of Humanitarian Affairs of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 general election.
In a statement issued by the alliance’s Kwara State Coordinator, Abdulganiyu F. Saka, the group described the appointment as recognition of Ajia’s political engagement, commitment and grassroots mobilisation efforts in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima.
Ajia joined the APC in February 2026 after leaving the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), under which he contested the party’s governorship primary in 2019 and the House of Representatives election for Asa/Ilorin West Federal Constituency in 2023.
Since he joined the ruling party, he has intensified consultations with party stakeholders and political groups to strengthen its grassroots support across Kwara State.

Saka commended Ajia for his sacrifices and contributions to the growth of the APC in the state, noting that his political engagement led to the formation of KATS as a platform for mobilising support for the Tinubu-Shettima ticket ahead of the 2027 general election.
He recalled that the alliance was launched in Ilorin with the inauguration of its Kwara Central executives on July 10, 2026, while the Kwara South executives were inaugurated on September 6, 2026, at Ajase-Ipo.
According to him, the alliance pledged during the inaugurations to mobilise substantial voter participation in the forthcoming general elections.
The state coordinator further disclosed that preparations were at an advanced stage for the inauguration of the Kwara North executives, after which a statewide inauguration and rally would be held in Ilorin.
He explained that the initiative was designed to establish a coordinated grassroots mobilisation network across the wards in the state’s three senatorial districts and 16 local government areas.
Saka urged members and supporters of the alliance to sustain their commitment and intensify consultations at the grassroots, expressing confidence that Ajia’s appointment and the group’s expanding mobilisation activities would strengthen support for the Tinubu-Shettima ticket ahead of the 2027 elections.
He reaffirmed the alliance’s commitment to building a broad-based support network across Kwara State through engagement with community leaders, party stakeholders and residents.
