World Class Romania, a major player in the health & fitness industry in the country, announced the opening of its club at the One High District complex in Bucharest, developed with a EUR 3 million investment.
According to the company, the new club was developed to bring fitness, assessment, recovery, wellness and longevity solutions together in a single concept. This shaped every part of the club, from design, equipment selection and space planning to the services and experience offered to members.
The new club is located within the One High District residential development in Bucharest. The investment was funded by a capital contribution from its shareholder, Vectr Holdings.
“The investment responds both to the potential of a fast-developing area and to changing consumer expectations. Today, members want services that help them understand their bodies better, train effectively, recover well and invest in their long-term health. We built this club around those needs, bringing together our infrastructure, technology and team expertise into a cohesive fitness, recovery and longevity experience,” said Matei Filipidescu, CEO of World Class Romania.
The training, recovery and relaxation areas have been organized into one unified concept, with a focus on functionality, comfort and an intuitive experience for members.
For training, the club offers dedicated Pilates Reformer, Booty Builder and HYROX zones and a group fitness studio, alongside high-performance equipment for cardio, strength and functional training.
Aquatic and recovery facilities feature two cold plunge tubs, a semi-Olympic swimming pool with four lanes, a dry sauna and a steam room.
The club also has a dedicated children’s changing room, designed for the families who use the club. Members can park in the covered car park, with the first two hours free of charge.
After members arrive, the first step is the Longevity Check, a service included in the membership that gives them an overview of their physical condition and functional abilities. The assessment combines bioimpedance analysis and motion tracking technology with cognitive and functional tests, looking at six dimensions: Body, Mobility, Balance, Mind, Strength and Cardio.
Based on the results, each member receives an individual profile that includes their Wellness Age, an estimate of their functional age, and a benchmark for tracking progress over time. At the end of the assessment, they are given a personalised training plan, built on this profile and tailored to their goals. A trainer validates the plan and adjusts it along the way, while regular reassessments measure results and help refine the training on an ongoing basis.
In the strength area, the club will introduce a new generation of smart equipment that uses artificial intelligence to adjust resistance, tempo, and range of motion in real time to each user's profile, fitness level, and goals. Automatic settings and digital feedback will make training more intuitive, safer and more effective.
Recovery will also have its own space: the Recovery Corner, designed to help members recharge after training. The area is equipped with massage guns, compression boots and massage and relaxation chairs.
