ISLAMABAD, Oct 23 (APP):Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) conducted road safety awareness activities near Zia Masjid and in Bhara Kahu to educate citizens and students about traffic rules and safe road crossing.
An official told APP on Friday that, on the special directions of Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Islamabad Kainat Azhar Khan, the ITP Education Wing team guided citizens near the overhead bridge at Zia Masjid on the importance of using pedestrian bridges while crossing roads.

He said citizens were advised to use overhead bridges instead of crossing busy roads directly to avoid traffic accidents and protect precious human lives.
Meanwhile, the ITP Education Wing, in collaboration with Islamabad Model School for Boys, Bhara Kahu, organised a road safety awareness walk for students.
During the activity, informative pamphlets on traffic rules and road safety were distributed among students and citizens to encourage responsible behaviour on roads.
The official said the awareness walk aimed to promote respect for traffic laws, a sense of responsibility and safe road practices among students and the general public.
He added that such awareness activities were aimed at preventing road accidents and promoting a safer travelling environment for all road users.
