American pop star Alex Warren will perform in Portugal for the first time next summer, with a beachfront concert in Figueira da Foz on July 18, 2027.
The 26-year-old Californian singer-songwriter will take to the stage at Praia do Relógio for the second edition of Portugal Summer Sessions, promoted by MOT – Memories of Tomorrow in partnership with Live Nation.
Warren arrives as one of pop’s biggest recent breakout names, driven largely by the extraordinary success of “Ordinary”, which spent 10 non-consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
The song also helped propel his debut full-length album, You’ll Be Alright, Kid, to No. 5 on the Billboard 200.
According to the promoter, “Ordinary” has spent more than 80 weeks in Spotify’s Top 200 in Portugal, while Warren currently attracts more than 45 million monthly listeners on the platform.
His Figueira da Foz appearance forms part of the European leg of his Finding (More) Family On The Road world tour, following outdoor shows planned across Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Ireland, the UK, Germany, France and Switzerland.
‘Big concerts don’t need Lisbon or Porto‘
For MOT executive director Tiago Castelo Branco, Warren’s booking also reinforces the promoter’s ambition to attract major international tours outside Portugal’s two biggest metropolitan areas.
“Bringing artists of this calibre to the centre of the country shows that major concerts do not need Lisbon or Porto to happen,” he said. “An event like this moves the economy of an entire region: hotels, restaurants, shops and transport.”
Castelo Branco said more than 45,000 spectators from over 50 countries attended Praia do Relógio events in 2026, adding: “That is the impact we want to build on with artists of Alex Warren’s calibre.”
The first Portugal Summer Sessions featured Sting and Lewis Capaldi, helping establish the Figueira da Foz beachfront as a setting for large-scale international concerts. MOT says Warren’s appearance continues that strategy.
Social-media beginnings
Long before his chart success, Warren built a huge following online and was one of the founding members of The Hype House, the TikTok creator collective later featured in a Netflix series.
His music career has since overtaken his influencer beginnings.
Warren has been nominated for the Grammy for Best New Artist, while in August he released his second studio album, WILDCHILD, through Atlantic Records. The album includes contributions from musicians including John Mayer.
