Shillong, Oct 13: Housing Minister Marcuise N Marak has directed officials to expedite pending matters and strengthen coordination between the Directorate and district offices to ensure timely completion of housing projects.
Chairing a review meeting of the Housing Department at the State Convention Centre, Shillong, Marak urged officials to work collectively to achieve the department’s objectives and address ground-level challenges effectively.
The meeting was attended by Secretary Housing B S Sohliya, Joint Secretary L C Marak, Director Housing A S Mukhim, Executive Engineer M S Kharmalki, along with officials of the Directorate, District Housing officers, Housing Inspectors and technical staff.
During the proceedings, Director Housing A S Mukhim presented a detailed overview of the department’s activities, highlighting progress of various projects and schemes, implementation status and pending issues and challenges.
The meeting also provided a platform for District Housing officers and Inspectors to share their inputs and apprise the Minister of ground realities encountered in the field, officials said.
