Doctors Hospital Health System (DHHS) yesterday granted its staff a further 22,144 common shares in the company through the second transfer in its employee stock ownership plan.
The BISX-listed health provider, in a statement, said the latest grant brings the total number of outstanding and issued common (equity) shares in the company to just over 25 million.
It added that the Employee Share Participation Plan (the Plan), open to all full-time staff, is designed to empower associates, reward exceptional performance and foster deeper participation in Doctor’s Hospital’s future growth and results.
“As we continue our focus on being the provider of choice for those seeking medical care within The Bahamas, we remain mindful of the fact that our employees are an essential ingredient in defining the patient experience and we remain dedicated to aligning those interests for the best possible outcomes," said Dennis Deveaux, Doctors Hospital’s chief executive.
“Our goal is to be the provider of choice for patients and the best place to work for associates. We are proud to offer this second annual grant opportunity to our associates under our Employee Share Participation Plan.”
