The United Nations has warned against early withdrawal of peacekeepers from the Central African Republic (CAR), saying Sudan’s war is fuelling cross-border violence and threatening hard-won security gains.
The warning comes as the UN Security Council prepares to renew the mandate of the UN Multidimensional Integrated Stabilisation Mission in the Central African Republic (Minusca), which expires on November 15.
