A new outpatient department and separate isolation wards have been established in the Paediatrics Department of Ayub Teaching Hospital to improve medical treatment and healthcare facilities for children.
Hospital Director Sajjad Ahmed Afridi said the new facilities will provide better treatment arrangements for paediatric patients and strengthen the department’s operational capacity.
He said the hospital is working round the clock to fulfil the commitments made to the people of Hazara in line with the clear directives of Board of Governors Chairman Professor Dr Abid Jamil.
Previously, the Paediatrics OPD and emergency department were located in the same area, while children needing isolation were kept in the main wards.
The new setup is expected to improve patient management and provide a more organised treatment environment for children at the hospital.
