Fast Bread and Bun, a brand of Akij Bakers Limited, celebrated "World Bread and Bun Day" at The Grandeur in Suvastu Hena Skyline, Gulshan, Dhaka, bringing together bread and bun enthusiasts from across the country.
The festival ran from 3pm to 8pm, with organisers describing it as the first official celebration of the day by a brand in Bangladesh, according to the press release.
Sheikh Jamil Uddin, managing director of Akij Bakers Limited, inaugurated the event by cutting a giant bun alongside invited guests.
A key attraction was the "Live Sandwich Creation Station", where guests could prepare sandwiches using their own recipes. A wide selection of premium ingredients in different flavours allowed participants to choose their preferred combinations and enjoy a hands-on food experience.
Organisers said the initiative aimed to highlight the role and nutritional importance of bread and buns in busy, modern lifestyles. They added that Fast Bread and Bun would continue organising similar activities in the future.
