We are two hours out from the Michigan Wolverines hosting Penn State, meaning the final injury report of the week has been released. Here are all the injury details you need to know for this week’s contest.
Out
- WR Kendrick Bell
- WR Braydon Alford
- RB Micah Ka’apana
- DE Julius Holly
- OL Ace Hamilton
- OL Andrew Sprague
- OL Brady Norton
- TE Zack Marshall
Game-time decision
- OL Jake Guarnera
First off, it’s great to see both wide receiver Andrew Marsh and left guard Nate Efobi completely off the injury report heading into this game. They were both listed as probable earlier this week, so it was likely they would be good to play in this game. But you never know how injuries develop over the course of a week, so it’s reassuring to see them absent from the final report.
Also off the injury report for the first time in his career is offensive lineman Andrew Babalola, so it’ll be interesting to see if he has any sort of role today against Penn State.
Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for a few other offensive lineman. Right tackle Andrew Sprague continues to be out as he deals with an undisclosed ailment. Right guard Brady Norton is also out for this week’s game. Center Jake Guarnera is also a game-time decision, which would be another pretty big blow to the offensive line.
Additionally, senior tight end Zack Marshall is set to miss today’s game against the Nittany Lions. Marshall has not been on the injury report all week long, so it’s very interesting that he is now listed as out. Hopefully we learn more about why he wasbn’t able to suit up today during Kyle Whittingham’s postgame press conference.
Finally, the defense at least appears to be healthy heading into this game. Also listed as questionable all week long, starting edge rushers Dom Nichols and John Henry Daley, as well as linebacker Aisea Moa, are nowhere to be seen on the injury report.
Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. on CBS.
