An inside look at Sunday’s Giants-Texans matchup in Houston:
Marquee matchup
Texans WRs Nico Collins, Marvin Harrison Jr. and Jaylin Noel vs. Giants CBs Deonte Banks, Colton Hood and Paulson Adebo
Is this one of the best wide receiver trios in the league?
Collins (22-323, three TDs) is an extremely tough cover.
Harrison was a washout with the Cardinals but has great physical talent as he faces the Giants for the second time this season.
Noel is a big-play threat, averaging 19.6 yards per catch.
And dangerous Tank Dell finally returns off injured reserve.
The secondary will be without Greg Newsome II, their most consistent corner.
He is in concussion protocol.
Adebo has not played since hurting his knee in the season opener, and this is a big spot for him.
Hood has endured typical rookie ups and downs.
Key stat
45: The Texans have allowed an NFL-high number of completions this season of 15 or more yards.
Paul’s pick
The Texans in the first month of the season were a good team finding ways to lose.
Now they are back on track. C.J. Stroud (nine TD passes, one INT) is operating at a high level. What level does J.J. McCarthy reach?
Texans 31, Giants 23
