It’s Wisconsin, so, of course, there’s going to be blue beer for the Milwaukee Brewers’ first World Series run in 44 years, but you’ll have to come to Green Bay to get it.
Stillmank Brewing Co. started pouring its Brewer’s Brew Oct. 22 and will have it on tap at its taproom at 215 N. Henry St. while supplies last.
Baseball fans can thank the in-house “Brew Crew” at Stillmank for coming up with the idea to turn the brewery’s Tailgater, a classic English blonde ale, blue as a way to toast the Brewers' return to the Fall Classic. Owner Brad Stillmank quickly gave the blue the green light.
“St. Patrick’s Day gets green beer, so why shouldn’t the Brewers get blue beer for the World Series?” he said in a news release. “The team is fired up, the fans are fired up, and we figured we might as well get in on the fun. Brewers Brew just made sense.”
The Brewers take on the Tampa Bay Rays in Game 1 of the World Series Oct. 23 at American Family Field in Milwaukee. First pitch is set for 7 p.m. on Fox.
