First round rookie wide receiver Omar Cooper is returning to practice this week per Jets head coach Aaron Glenn.
The Jets are opening WR Omar Cooper Jr's 21-day practice window. He was placed on IR after Week 1 with a high-ankle sprain. #Jets

Cooper suffered a high ankle sprain in the team’s Week 1 victory over the Tennessee Titans and was subsequently placed on injured reserve. This forced him to sit out at least four weeks. This is the earliest he is eligible to return.
Cooper can now practice with the team for up to 21 days without taking up a spot on the 53 man roster. If the Jets want to activate him for the Week 6 game against the Patriots or any game before the window ends, however, he will need to be placed on the active roster.
The injury news is not so good for a number of other banged up Jets starters.
#Jets injuries: AD Mitchell had a procedure on his hand. He's still week-to-week.

Breece Hall, Dylan Parham and Joseph Ossai are also still week-to-week. So it doesn't look like they will be playing this week.
Week-to-week generally suggests these are longer term injuries, and these players are less likely to be in the lineup this coming Sunday.
