The Atlanta Falcons wrapped up another week of practice ahead of Sunday's matchup against the Chicago Bears, and it looks like quarterback Michael Penix Jr. will be a full go after exiting Week 5 with a rib injury.
Head coach Kevin Stefanski confirmed as much during his Friday press conference and said Penix would have no restrictions against the Bears in Week 6.
"I thought he handled everything really well," said Stefanski. "Everything responded well and I thought Mike handled the work week very well."
Penix has been impressive since returning to the lineup in Week 3. The former top-10 pick has passed for 719 yards, three touchdowns, one interception and a passer rating of 104.8 this season.
The Falcons have a few other injuries worth noting, however. Cornerback C.J. Henderson has been ruled out for Week 6 due to a groin injury, while edge Za'Darius Smith is listed as questionable with a neck injury.
Henderson has been playing extremely well in A.J. Terrell's absence, but now the team will have an even bigger challenge against one of the NFL's brightest offensive minds.
"Great challenge Sunday at our place," Stefanski said of facing the Bears. "We're excited to get back in front of our fans. So, can't wait to get down there."
