Christian Watson is doing a fine job holding it down downfield for the Green Bay Packers. The former North Dakota State star wide receiver has been among the most productive wideouts across the NFL through five weeks of the 2026 season.
The 27-year-old Watson has racked up a total of 474 receiving yards to go along with six touchdowns on 26 catches and 40 targets for Green Bay.
Watson has led Green Bay in receiving yards in three of five games (Matthew Golden led the other two) and has a couple of 100-or-more receiving-yard outings.
It had been years since a Green Bay player last pulled off such a feat in a season.
Via the NFL Stats X account: Christian Watson is the 1st #Packers WR with 2 games of 140+ receiving yards and 2+ TDs in a season since Davante Adams in 2020.
Watson is Having Quite a 2026 NFL Season
Watson made loud noises right away to start the season, coming away with 147 receiving yards and two touchdowns on six catches and eight targets, albeit in a 39-22 loss to the Minnesota Vikings on the road in Week 1. Last Sunday, Watson nearly set a new season high, torching the Chicago Bears’ pass defense with 143 receiving yards and two touchdowns on six receptions and eight targets.
Watson could be in store for another big game in Week 6 against the Dallas Cowboys at Lambeau Field in Green Bay. The Cowboys are just 25th in the league with an average of 27.2 points allowed per game and are 30th with opposing teams completing 72.14 percent of their throws against Dallas.
Green Bay enters the meeting with the Cowboys with a 3-2 record and looking to notch its third win in a row.
