The commemorative event reiterated shared aspirations of Central American nations to strengthen cooperation and advance the well-being of their people.
The occasion also reaffirmed the importance of regional identity, cultural heritage and the historic bonds connecting the eight SICA member countries.
During the ceremony, SICA Secretary General Ambassador Lina Eugenia Ajoy Rojas emphasized that “SICA is one, but integration belongs to all.” She noted that regional integration serves as a powerful tool for complementing the development efforts of member countries and advancing shared priorities.
Ajoy Rojas also highlighted the need for a renewed, efficient and sustainable integration system that remains accountable to its members.
