George documented the experience on his Instagram Stories, treating followers to glimpses of the electric atmosphere at PSG's home ground as the French champions took on Barcelona in a Matchday 3 league phase encounter.
What happened in the PSG vs Barcelona game?
It turned out to be quite a night to catch live.
Reigning European champions PSG dismantled Barcelona 4-2, handing the Spanish side their first defeat of the 2026-27 campaign after 11 consecutive wins.
Désiré Doué opened the scoring in the 38th minute before Xavi Espart equalised on his full Champions League debut.
Lucas Hernández restored PSG's lead with a header, and Lamine Yamal levelled things with a fine solo effort in the 79th minute. Vitinha and Fabián Ruiz then struck late to seal a convincing win for the hosts.
George's stories captured the mood perfectly.
He shared a wide stadium shot showing players circling the Champions League logo on the centre spot, with the "PARIS SAINT GERMAIN" lettering visible across the stand under the floodlights and smoke hanging in the air.
Another clip showed dense red flares and packed stands, with banners reading "FIERS DE NOS COULEURS" visible in the crowd. He also posted the final 4-2 score graphic.
How much did George Ruto's ticket cost?
One detail that is likely to raise eyebrows back home is what a seat at the Parc des Princes would have set George back.
Official tickets for the fixture sold out quickly, pushing fans to resale platforms where prices climbed steeply.
Based on the elevated stand perspective visible in his Stories, which offered a clear view of the full pitch with the intense home end atmosphere nearby, his seat appears to fall in the mid-tier range.
On secondary markets, upper stand seats were going from around €500 (roughly KSh 73,000), while mid-tier positions with better views fetched between €600 and €850, equivalent to approximately KSh 87,000 to KSh 124,000.
Premium spots closer to the tunnel or front rows went even higher, at €1,000 to €1,300 or more.
Given what is visible in his posts, a realistic estimate for his ticket sits between KSh 80,000 and KSh 130,000. The exact figure cannot be confirmed from the photos.
As for the highlight of the evening for George, it was clearly Yamal.
He shared a photo of the Barcelona teenager accompanied by the track Star Boy by The Weeknd and Daft Punk, a fitting musical choice for a player who delivered one of the goals of the night despite ending up on the losing side.
