PERSONNEL from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) XI, alongside interns from the University of Mindanao College of Criminal Justice Education (UM CCJE), conducted a humanitarian outreach drive on October 20, 2026, for families displaced by a massive fire in Barangay 76-A, Bucana.
Members of PDEA XI’s Preventive Education and Community Involvement Section (PECIS) and the CCJE interns distributed food packs, care packages, and essential supplies to victims in Purok Kasilak, who lost their homes during the Oct. 16 inferno.
Beyond providing material assistance, the joint initiative aimed to extend moral support and encourage resilience among the affected residents as they begin rebuilding their lives.
PDEA XI emphasized that the outreach reflects the agency’s broader commitment to public service beyond its core anti-illegal drug mandate. By partnering with academic institutions and local stakeholders, the agency seeks to foster volunteerism, humanitarian aid, and community solidarity during times of crisis.
