Puducherry government initiates transfer and posting of IPS officers

The Puducherry government has initiated the transfer and posting of IPS officers in the Union Territory.

Chief Secretary Sharat Chauhan, in an order, said that Senior Superintendent of Police (Training and Welfare) Rajinder Kumar Gupta has been transferred and posted as SSP of Police Headquarters.

Senior Superintendent of Police Deepika, who was recently posted to the Puducherry administration, has been given charge of coastal security and the Anti-Narcotics Task Force. Sikandar Singh, another SSP-rank officer, who was recently posted to the Puducherry administration, has been given charge of police training and welfare.

Anurag Chopra, who is completing the Basic Course Training (Phase II), has been posted as Superintendent of Police, Cyber Wing, the order said.
