Sponsored: Sunset at the Turf is giving Abu Dhabi’s after-work scene a new addition
Dinner, drinks, the usual catch-up spots. We all have our go-to plans after work, but here’s something a little different to add to the mix. Abu Dhabi Turf Club is bringing live horse racing into the early evening, with sunset views, a garden overlooking the track and a little friendly competition.
So, what’s the plan?

Launching on October 22, Sunset at the Turf is a new after-work experience running on selected Thursdays throughout the 2026-2027 racing season. Each evening features seven races, starting at 5pm and continuing every 30 minutes until 8pm. The line-up includes five Purebred Arabian races and two Thoroughbred races.
A little racing, a little socialising

Premier Admission gives you access to the garden overlooking the track and finish line, where you can meet friends, bring a plus-one or head over with colleagues after work. Settle in, pick a favourite horse and cheer it across the finish line. And if you’re feeling lucky, there’s Pick and Win, a free-to-enter game where you predict race winners for a chance to take home prizes.

The new series is part of the Golden Jubilee season, celebrating 50 years of equestrian heritage established by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan in 1976. The racing calendar also includes the UAE President Cup on December 12, 2026, and the Abu Dhabi Gold Cup on February 7, 2027.
