Denpasar, Bali (ANTARA) - Bali Regional Secretary Dewa Made Indra announced three days of work from home (WFH), from October 15-17, 2026, to support fuel oil distribution by state-owned oil and gas company Pertamina.
"The Bali provincial government has issued a policy adjusting work systems through work from home for three days, from October 15 to 17, 2026, to support the smooth supply and distribution of fuel oil by Pertamina in Bali," Indra said here on Wednesday.
The WFH policy circular is addressed to heads of provincial, district, and city regional government agencies, vertical agencies, state-owned enterprises (BUMN/SOEs), regionally owned enterprises (BUMD), universities, and educational units across Bali.
Under the circular, Indra instructed agency heads to implement the WFH system for employees at their respective institutions during the specified period.
“This adjustment was made to support Pertamina in carrying out its duties, particularly in ensuring the safe and smooth supply and distribution of fuel oil for the public,” he said.
Despite the WFH policy, the Bali provincial government emphasized that public services requiring direct interaction with the public must continue operating effectively in person.
Employees responsible for direct public services, emergency response, and security will continue performing their duties at their workplaces as usual. In addition to the WFH arrangements, the provincial government has asked public and private educational institutions across Bali to conduct online learning during the same period.
The online learning policy applies to universities and schools throughout the province.
The temporary measures are intended to ease queues at various gas stations and reduce the traffic congestion associated with them.
Indra expressed hope that strong support and coordination among relevant agencies would help resolve fuel distribution challenges smoothly.
