(ANSA) - ROME, 15 OTT - Inter skipper Lautaro Martinez is out until next month's international break and will miss two Champions League matches and five Serie A games after picking up a knock in Wednesday night's 4-3 home defeat to Club Brugge, the Nerazzurri said Thursday.
Martinez will miss all upcoming matches leading up to the league's international break in November.
This includes seven games across the Champions League and Serie A—against Bologna, Shakhtar, Fiorentina, Venezia, the derby (vs.
AC Milan), Feyenoord, and Como—comprising two European encounters and several high-stakes Serie A clashes.
The Argentine's physical issue—described in a club statement as an abductor strain—has proven more complex than initially anticipated.
"Keep your head down and work; that's the only way to improve," Lautaro wrote on social media last night, following the team's defeat to Club Brugge. (ANSA).
