Dr Mohammad Mohiuddin, director (acting) of the Public Relations Office at Jahangirnagar University (JU), and Md Shamsul Alam Shibli, deputy director of the Public Relations and Press Publications Office at Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University, have been elected president and general secretary, respectively, of the Bangladesh Public University Public Relations Association (BAPAJSA).
A 25-member executive committee for the 2027-2028 term was formed at the association’s annual general meeting held at Jahangirnagar University on Friday.
Rafiqul Islam Panna of the University of Dhaka was elected senior vice-president, while Mohammad Ali of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur, and Md Nazrul Islam of Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University were elected vice-presidents.

and Md Saiful Islam of Jagannath University were elected joint general secretaries. Md Babul Hossain Babu of Pabna University of Science and Technology was elected treasurer.
Mohammad Al-Amin Khan of Bangladesh Open University was elected organising secretary, Farhad Rahman Sarkar of Jahangirnagar University office secretary, Md Salman Sadekin Chayan of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology publicity and publications secretary, Mostak Jahan of Bangladesh University of Professionals social welfare secretary, and Muhammad Rashedul Islam of Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology sports secretary.
