POLICE have recorded statements from 15 individuals, including 12 Road Transport Department (JPJ) officers and three bank officers, in an investigation into the alleged failure to transfer RM230.9 million in government revenue involving MYEG Sdn Bhd and Zetrix AI Berhad.
Bukit Aman Commercial Crime Investigation Department director Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa said investigations were ongoing.
“So far, statements have been recorded from 15 people. Of that number, 12 are from JPJ and three are bank officers,” he said today.
On Oct 13, Rusdi said police had received a report concerning the financial transactions on Oct 7.
Police have also obtained relevant documents, which are being examined as part of the investigation.
A probe was opened under Section 409 of the Penal Code, which deals with criminal breach of trust by a public servant, banker, merchant or agent.
The Transport Ministry, through JPJ, had earlier suspended MYEG and Zetrix AI’s services as agents for collecting JPJ revenue, effective Oct 5, following the alleged failure to transfer government collections within the stipulated timeframe.
Transport Minister Anthony Loke was previously reported as saying the suspension was imposed because the companies had failed to fulfil their obligations.
MYEG has served as a JPJ collection agent since 2000 for services including motor vehicle licence renewals, vehicle ownership transfers, Malaysian driving licences and electronic traffic summons payments. - October 19, 2026
