The Arizona Cardinals have filled their vacant roster spot. Last Saturday, ahead of their game against the Detroit Lions, they placed guard Isaiah Adams on injured reserve. He had an ankle injury and must miss at least three more games. They didn't fill his roster spot until Wednesday.
In a series of moves between the roster and the practice squad, the Cardinals signed tight end Shawn Bowman from the practice squad to the active roster, giving them four tight ends on the active roster, joining Trey McBride, Elijah Higgins and Teagan Quitoriano.
Bowman signed with the Cardinals in training camp in August. He didn't make the final roster but was re-signed to the practice squad.
Bowman is 6-4 and 249 pounds and has yet to play an NFL game. He went undrafted out of Rutgers in 2024 and signed with the Carolina Panthers. He spent time on their practice squad as a rookie. Most recently, he was in the UFL with the Orlando Storm. He played in 11 games and had seven catches for 53 yards.
