The Philadelphia Eagles will be without Jalen Hurts for the rest of the season as he deals with blood clots, but the situation over the past few weeks has been interesting. From finding out that the team knew he had blood clots and still let him play, to having him stay up for a certain amount of time as a precaution, there’s been a lot of things to come out about the situation.
Aaron Rodgers of the Pittsburgh Steelersheard about Hurts’ situation, and doesn’t sound like he’s too fond of the league’s medical team, and never has been.
“I don’t have a close relationship with Jalen. Obviously, we’re in the quarterback fraternity, so you don’t want to see anything like that happen to anybody, especially a guy who’s throwing the football. Obviously, I don’t know the whole details about what’s going on. I’ve seen what’s been printed. The guy in charge of all that’s all things medical at the NFL office, and I haven’t always seen eye to eye about things, so I can’t say I’m real surprised,” Rodgers said.

The NFL Players Association called for a full investigation earlier in the week into the medical care that was provided to Hurts when he was diagnosed with the blood clots.
Jeff Miller, who is the NFL executive vice president overseeing player health and safety, spoke about the speculation that Hurts wasn’t treated correctly.
“Conservative steps were taken to ensure Jalen Hurts’ health was always made the first priority and continues to be,” Miller said via ESPN’s Tim McManus.
Even when the Eagles were notified about the blood clots in his calf, Hurts was still able to play against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London. A week later, reports came out that the blood clots had traveled to his lungs.
