KUALA LUMPUR: The Perak Education Department is investigating allegations that a headmaster of a vernacular school sent inappropriate messages to a female Form Three student.
A post on Threads claimed that the headmaster had sent messages, including "I love you", to the student.
Education Minister Datuk Seri Fadhlina Sidek said she had directed the state Education Department to investigate the matter.
"The headmaster has been temporarily transferred to the Bagan Datuk district education office pending the outcome of the investigation," she said.
The post urged parents and the public in Teluk Intan to remain vigilant, and called on the relevant authorities to take the allegations seriously and ensure students' safety.
