Each Monday throughout the fall sports season, the Daily American sports department will select nominees for Football, Female and Male Athletes of the Week in Somerset County.
Polls will open at 5 a.m. each Monday, and voters will have through 5 p.m. Wednesday to vote.

Athletes can be nominated via email to sports@dailyamerican.com. Please include details of their achievements for that week only, including any notable statistics or results. All email submissions will be considered but not necessarily selected as a nominee. Once an athlete is voted Athlete of the Week, he or she is no longer eligible to be selected or nominated during the fall sports season.
The winners will be featured in the top performers section in Saturday's Daily American print edition.

Football Athlete of the Week nominees
● Will Eshleman, North Star
Eshleman rushed for 196 yards, four touchdowns and had an interception for a touchdown in a 33-14 win over Northern Bedford County.
● Carter Durst, Berlin Brothersvalley
Durst rushed for 132 yards and two touchdowns in a 27-20 win over Windber.
● Spencer Whitfield, Meyersdale
Whitfield rushed for 99 yards and three touchdowns to go along with 139 passing yards in a 35-21 setback to Wilmington.
● Dylan Woodruff, Windber
Woodruff caught three touchdown passes in a 27-20 setback to Berlin Brothersvalley.
