UNLV forced three turnovers while handing visiting North Dakota State its first loss of the season last week, taking a 13-7 slugfest. The Rebels shut out the Bison in the second half after the teams were tied 7-7 at the break, with UNLV taking the lead on Ramon Villela’s 29-yard field goal midway through the third quarter. Andre Porter scored the lone touchdown for the Rebels with a 23-yard pick-six in the first quarter. Jai’Den Thomas ran for 112 yards on 22 carries, and Jackson Arnold added 77 passing yards to his 60 on the ground. Mumu Bin-Wahad logged two interceptions as UNLV went to 2-0 in the MWC.
Air Force kicked it old school last week in a 28-7 win at Northern Illinois, attempting only one pass while running for 439 yards. New starting quarterback Evan Medders led the attack with 114 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries, replacing injured Liam Szarka, while Owen Allen hit the 100-yard mark with a pair of scores on 13 carries. Medders’ four-yard TD run late in the first half gave the Falcons the lead for good as they got to 2-1 in conference play.
The Rebels won the last two matchups with the Falcons, including a 51-48 thriller on Oct. 11, 2025, while Air Force leads the all-time series 18-8.
Arnold enters with 1,140 yards and eight touchdowns with one interception for UNLV, with Thomas checking in with 495 yards and two scores on the ground. Tax Reddicks has 15 catches for 280 yards and two TDs. Allen is Air Force’s active rushing leader with 238 yards, while Medders comes in with 223 yards and three touchdowns.
