“American Pickers” alum Frank Fritz’s father, Bill Fritz, and three of his friends are heading to trial in their battle over his $6 million estate two years after his tragic death.
Page Six can exclusively reveal that a jury trial is set for November in the Iowa court case after the parties involved failed to come to an agreement in mediation.
“Mediation happened and there was no resolution,” a source told Page Six of the case, which is sealed from public view. “Bill Fritz wants everything.”
Annette Oberlander Willows, who is involved in the estate battle and was by Frank’s side when he died in September 2024, told Page Six, “I have always done right by Frank. I was loyal to him throughout our entire friendship. Frank did not wish for his dad to have anything of his!”
She added, “I did not expect to get anything for just being his closest friend. I feel that it is Frank’s things before it is mine. By going to trial, I am confident Frank’s wishes will be honored!”
Bill and his lawyer did not respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
In October 2023, Frank filed a “will prior to death,” a year after he suffered a debilitating stroke in July 2022 that left him partially paralyzed.
An Iowa judge approved the “American Pickers” star’s request for his estate weeks after his death in September 2024, but his biological dad Bill contested the will in February 2025.
The US Sun previously reported from court papers — before the case was sealed — that Bill alleged that “Fritz’s decision-making capacity was so impaired that he was unable to make, communicate or carry out important decisions concerning his own financial affairs.”
He told the outlet regarding the estate battle in 2025, “Looking for the trial to fight the fake will that was written. I feel sure that I will win this case. The will was totally fake. The people that are doing it were just people that helped him.
“I had a good relationship with him. And they’re just trying to get in on something that they shouldn’t.”
The collector’s loved ones filed a conservatorship and guardianship on behalf of Frank in August 2022.
His friend Chris Davis acted as the guardian, while MidWestOne Bank was appointed conservator.
Bill was not involved in the conservatorship.
Frank’s estate is estimated to be around $6 million, according to the Des Moines Register.
The fortune includes his motorcycle collection, Iowa farmhouse valued at $155,000, rare antiques, show earnings and more.
Frank appeared on “American Pickers” alongside Mike Wolfe and Danielle Colby from 2010 to 2020. He left the show in 2020 to undergo back surgery and was officially terminated in 2021.
Wolfe — who recently split from longtime girlfriend Leticia Cline — remains on the series with Colby, and his brother Robbie Wolfe and Jon “Jersey” Szalay.
