Hyundai Motor's (005380.KS) high-performance brand N on the 19th unveiled a new special edition of the Elantra N called the Elantra N Monochrome.
Monochrome refers to a design approach that uses only a single color or shades within one color family.
As the name suggests, the Elantra N Monochrome strips away the varied and vivid colors of earlier versions, finishing the interior and exterior in a single tone to heighten the sense of immersion.
The model comes in two single-color versions, black and performance blue. Each features newly designed exclusive forged wheels, single-tone front and rear bumpers, brake calipers and steering wheel buttons, maximizing the simplicity of the design.
Alcantara has been newly applied to interior parts including the steering wheel, while carbon has been used on some exterior components such as the side mirrors, adding a higher level of high-performance character.
The Elantra N Monochrome will go on sale in South Korea on the 29th, with sales in global markets to follow.

N will display the Elantra N Monochrome at the Hyundai N Festival, to be held at Everland Speedway for two days on the 31st and Nov. 1.
The company will then operate pop-up stores to showcase the vehicle at Shinsegae Department Store in Seoul starting Nov. 5 and at Shinsegae Department Store in Daegu starting Nov. 13.
"The Elantra N Monochrome was born out of the voices of customers who wanted to experience the high-performance heritage of the Elantra N in a more restrained form," said Park Jun-woo, head of N Management Division and a senior vice president. "By removing the flamboyance and filling in the details, drivers will be able to focus more on the pure joy of driving."
