Lotte Mart and Lotte Super said on the 22nd that they are launching two varieties of apple-fed animal welfare chicken.
The products are domestically raised chicken fed a specially formulated diet containing apple concentrate, developed exclusively with producer Harim. The feed contains no antibiotics or antimicrobial agents, and the products carry antibiotic-free certification after meeting strict standards for raising and quality control.
The two varieties are tailored to different cooking methods: one for baeksuk, or boiled whole chicken (850 grams, chilled, domestic), and another for bokkeumtang, or braised spicy chicken (1,050 grams, chilled, domestic).
To mark the launch, Lotte Mart is selling the boiled chicken variety for 6,990 won and the braised variety for 8,990 won through the 28th of this month. Over the same period, Lotte Super is offering discounts of up to 4,000 won for L.POINT members.
