Oct. 23—The Troy Lady Trojan volleyball team celebrated Senior Night Thursday, Oct. 15, with a sweep of Noxon at the Troy Activity Center. The Lady Trojans honored Kirsti Jellesed, Hailey Dungan, Addyson Fisher, Jelica Caldoza as well as team managers Kaylee Kelso and Kayleeann Rebo. Troy then topped the Lady Devils in three sets, 25-16, 25-17 and 25-23. "It awesome to win on Senior Night," Troy head coach Kristine Morris said. "We started all our seniors and the win is the cherry on top." Troy improved to 7-4 overall and 3-2 in the division. They'll compete in the divisional tournament Nov. 4-7 in Florence. "We're sitting pretty good and it'll be nice to be in divisionals, but it will be very competitive," Morris said. The top two teams will advance to the state tournament. Prior to that, Troy ended the regular season with three straight road matches. Tuesday the Lady Trojans were at Thompson Falls, Thursday at Plains and Saturday at Mission. In last week's win over Noxon, the Lady Devils led 15-11 before the Lady Trojans rallied. They had strong serving by Fisher, sophomore Olivia Hall and Jellesed to outscore Noxon, 14-8, down the stretch.
