The Hospital Statutorisation Transition Team encourages Grenadians to take advantage of the opportunity to help shape the future identity of the proposed new Grenada Public Hospitals Authority as the deadline for the Hospital Statutorisation Project National Naming Competition approaches.
With submissions closing on Friday, 23 October 2026, members of the public are reminded that their creativity and ideas can help shape an identity that reflects the values, aspirations, and future vision of Grenada’s public hospitals.
The competition invites participants to submit original ideas for a Name, Logo and Tagline for the proposed new Grenada Public Hospitals Authority.
The initiative is part of the wider Hospital Statutorisation Project, which seeks to strengthen the management and delivery of public hospital services by establishing a statutory body with its own governing structure. The proposed transition is intended to support greater operational flexibility, improved accountability, more efficient management and a stronger focus on patient-centred hospital care.
Through the National Naming Competition, Grenadians can contribute to this important transformation by helping shape how the proposed Authority will be represented and recognised.
Participants are encouraged to consider qualities such as public trust, compassion, inclusivity, innovation, excellence and national pride when developing their submissions. The proposed identity should reflect a commitment to quality hospital care and inspire confidence in the future of Grenada’s public hospitals.
The competition is open to two categories:
- Student Category: Under 18 years
- Adult Category: 18 years and over
Prizes will be awarded in each category, with EC$1,500 for 1st place and EC$1,000 for 2nd place.
The Transition Team encourages students, young creatives, professionals and members of the wider public to participate, recognising that meaningful ideas can come from people of all ages and backgrounds.
While winning submissions will be recognised, the organisers reserve the right to refine, adapt or modify winning entries. A winning submission may not necessarily become the final identity adopted by the proposed new Grenada Public Hospitals Authority.
All submissions must be emailed to [email protected] by Friday, 23 October 2026.
For competition details, guidelines and updates, the public is encouraged to follow the Grenada Hospitals Statutorisation Transition Team on Facebook.
As the deadline approaches, the Transition Team reminds Grenadians that this is more than a naming exercise. It is an opportunity to contribute ideas towards a shared vision for the future of public hospital care in Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique.
