The Workman’s Club in Dublin 2 have confirmed that it is not closing down after a social media post this morning claimed that the venue will be closed and turned into a “members-only” venue.
“No, we are not closing down,” said the club, through an Instagram story.
The iconic city centre venue added that it is “quite the opposite” in terms of news, and that the venue will be open seven nights a week until 2:30am.
A now-deleted post from Alternative Dublin said that the venue will be closing down by December following the closure of the adjoining Bison Bar in July this year.
The Workman’s Club have been contacted for comment.
