2027: Bauchi gov calls for unity, mobilisation among women

Women coordinators of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) across the 20 local government areas of Bauchi State and wives of the party’s candidates have been urged to work together to promote unity, cooperation and effective grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The call was made by the Bauchi State First Lady, Hajiya Aisha Bala Mohammed, when she hosted the 20 APM women coordinators and wives of the party’s candidates at a stakeholders’ meeting focused on preparations for the elections.

The meeting was attended by Hajiya Aisha Yakubu Adamu, wife of the APM governorship candidate, Dr Yakubu Adamu, and other female party leaders. Discussions centred on strategies to strengthen the party’s structures and mobilise support ahead of the elections.

The First Lady emphasised the importance of women’s participation in politics, noting their role in reaching communities across the state.

She urged the coordinators to strengthen their relationships with women at the ward and local government levels, encourage peaceful political participation and ensure the party’s message reached the people.

Aisha Bala Mohammed also stressed the need for commitment, mutual understanding and sustained collaboration among party members as preparations for the 2027 elections gather momentum.

She encouraged wives of the party’s candidates to support their husbands through constructive engagement with communities while working closely with the women coordinators to advance the party’s objectives.

The First Lady noted that effective coordination and collective responsibility would be essential to achieving the goals discussed at the meeting.

The participants reaffirmed their commitment to continued engagement and coordination among APM women across Bauchi State.
