As the Chicago Bears took down the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday afternoon, 31-23, it marked the return of star quarterback Caleb Williams, as he came back from a hamstring injury. With Williams officially back for the Bears after missing the last three weeks, he had an impressive performance, sharing how confident he is in himself and the team.
Starting the game by completing his first 12 passes, he ended the game with 305 yards, a touchdown pass, and zero interceptions, giving Chicago a major boost on offense. Speaking after the game to the media, Williams said he is “confident in my leg.”
“If I’m out there, I’m gonna feel confident in my leg, confident in myself and confident in my guys,” Williams said, via CHGO Bears on X, formerly Twitter.

Williams said that he “was super juiced up to get back out here,” as he missed the last three games with a hamstring injury, and after his performance, he was awarded the game ball by head coach Ben Johnson. The road to recovery started with a conversation with Johnson earlier in the week about being ready to return.
“Caleb Williams said he walked into Ben Johnson’s office earlier in the week and said, ‘Let’s get this thing going,’ and then walked out,” CHGO Bears wrote on X, formerly Twitter,
“He came out, he had a great week, he came to my office earlier in the week and said, ‘Man, I want to push this thing,'” Johnson said.
At any rate, Williams and the Bears look to keep this going with the next game on Oct. 22 against the New England Patriots.
