A former childcare worker who sexually abused dozens of young children will be extradited to NSW to face more than 200 additional charges.
Ashley Paul Griffith in 2024 pleaded guilty to more than 300 offences, including multiple counts of rape and sexual assault, committed against 69 girls across almost two decades.

He carried out the abuse at childcare centres in Brisbane and Italy, with a court previously told that many of the crimes were recorded.

He was sentenced to life imprisonment in Queensland with a non-parole period of 27 years.
Griffith will now be extradited to NSW to face more than 200 additional allegations following a court hearing on Tuesday.
These include 68 charges of sexual intercourse with a child under the age of 10 years, 42 of sexual intercourse with a person under the age of 10, 69 of indecent assault of a person aged under 16, and 23 of producing child abuse material.
NSW Attorney-General Michael Daley has confirmed his extradition.

“I sought Ashley Griffith’s transfer on behalf of the people of NSW and am grateful for the co-operation of the Queensland Attorney-General in this matter,” Mr Daley said in a statement on Tuesday.
“He will now be brought to NSW to face justice in this state.”
Griffith recently lost a bid to reduce the 27-year non-parole period for his Queensland offending, with the state’s Court of Appeal dismissing his application in June.
He will not be eligible for parole until August 2049, when he is 71 years old.
His offending in Queensland included 190 charges of indecent treatment of children, 67 of making child exploitation material, 28 of rape, 15 of maintaining an unlawful relationship with a child, four counts of producing child exploitation material, one of distributing child exploitation material, one of possessing child exploitation material and another of using a carriage service to access child pornography material.
