Central European countries should work more closely together in the European Union to strengthen their influence, Czech Foreign Minister Petr Macinka said after meeting his Slovenian counterpart in Ljubljana on Wednesday.
Macinka said Czechia and Slovenia shared similar views on European issues. Closer regional cooperation will be a priority during Czechia’s presidency of the Visegrad Group, which begins in July next year.
Macinka visited Slovenia with a Czech business delegation and highlighted opportunities to expand trade between the two countries, particularly in energy, defence and transport.
