Throneroom (Trust) Ministry, founded by Apostle Emmanuel Nuhu Kure and Pastor Martha Kure, is set to hold a three-day convocation for youths, workers and pastors in Kafanchan, Kaduna state, from Thursday, October 15, to Saturday, October 17, 2026.
The programme, tagged “Youths, Workers and Pastors on Fire,” will take place at the ministry’s headquarters in Kafanchan City, with activities scheduled to begin at 6pm daily. Apostle Kure is expected to lead other ministers at the gathering, which is aimed at bringing participants together for spiritual renewal and renewed commitment to Christian service.
The convocation comes at a time when churches and religious leaders are increasingly engaging questions of insecurity, community relations, youth development and the responsibilities of leadership. Blueprint reports
For participants, the gathering offers an opportunity to deepen their faith while reflecting on how Christian values can shape their conduct in their families, workplaces, churches and communities.
Gathering to strengthen spiritual commitment
The convocation’s theme places three groups at the centre of the programme: young people, workers and pastors. Each has a distinct role in the life of the church and society, from nurturing the next generation and providing leadership to demonstrating integrity in professional and public life.
For youths, the gathering presents an opportunity to reflect on personal discipline, leadership, service and their contribution to community development. Workers are similarly challenged to connect their faith with their everyday responsibilities, while pastors are expected to renew their commitment to spiritual guidance and service to their congregations.
Although the organisers’ announcement does not provide a detailed breakdown of the programme or identify the other ministers expected to participate, Apostle Kure is listed as the lead minister for the three-day event.
The convocation is taking place at the ministry’s headquarters in Kafanchan, the administrative centre of Jema’a Local Government Area and an important urban centre in Southern Kaduna.
Kure’s voice on insecurity in Southern Kaduna
Beyond his ministry activities, Apostle Kure has been vocal on issues affecting communities in Southern Kaduna, particularly insecurity and the protection of vulnerable residents.
In January 2026, following the abduction of worshippers from churches in Kurmin Wali, Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, the Southern Kaduna Christian Leaders Association, under Kure’s chairmanship, condemned the incident and called on the government and security agencies to intensify efforts to secure the victims’ release.
The association described the abduction as unacceptable and urged authorities to take decisive steps against recurring kidnappings in the region. It also called attention to the anguish experienced by families whose relatives had been taken away by armed groups.
The leaders combined their appeal for practical security measures with a call for fasting and prayer, reflecting their belief in the importance of spiritual support alongside government action.
The incident renewed concerns about the safety of worshippers and residents in communities affected by attacks and abductions. Kure’s intervention highlighted the responsibility of authorities to protect lives and property while offering solidarity to affected families.
These concerns form part of the wider social context in which the Kafanchan convocation is being held, with faith communities continuing to grapple with the effects of insecurity on families, livelihoods and religious life.
Calls for fairness and national unity
Kure has also contributed to national discussions on religious freedom, equality and the protection of Christian communities.
In November 2025, following the United States’ designation of Nigeria as a “Country of Concern,” he called for serious engagement with allegations of religious discrimination and insecurity rather than dismissing the concerns without examination.
He urged the Nigerian government to address the issues raised and ensure that citizens enjoyed equal protection regardless of religious affiliation. His position emphasised the importance of investigating allegations, strengthening public confidence and responding to concerns about the safety and rights of religious communities.
Kure has also urged restraint during periods of heightened political tension. In 2024, as nationwide protests were being planned, Southern Kaduna Christian leaders advised youths against joining the demonstrations, expressing concern that unrest could be exploited and worsen insecurity in vulnerable communities.
The position reflected the leaders’ preference for peaceful engagement, while also underscoring the need for authorities to address the grievances driving public discontent.
His interventions on these issues have placed him within broader conversations about the role of religious leaders in promoting peace, advocating for vulnerable communities and encouraging responsible engagement with government.
Established in 1991, Throneroom (Trust) Ministry is headquartered at the Zion International Prayer Retreat Camp, Throneroom Close, off Hospital Road, Kafanchan City, Kaduna State.
The ministry describes its work as including prayer, church planting, leadership development and support for the wider Christian community. Its activities also extend through ministry arms and outreach initiatives, including its youth movement and The Global Watchman.
The convocation’s emphasis on youths, workers and pastors reflects these different areas of engagement, bringing together participants whose roles extend from spiritual leadership to service in workplaces and local communities.
As the three-day gathering begins, participants are expected to engage in a programme led by Apostle Kure and other ministers. Beyond the meetings themselves, the central challenge will be translating spiritual renewal into practical commitments to service, integrity, compassion and the wellbeing of their communities.
