Lotte On, the e-commerce platform of Lotte Shopping (023530.KS), said on the 12th that it received a presidential citation for its contribution to expanding online sales channels at an awards ceremony held on the 9th in Gongju, South Chungcheong Province. The event, recognizing contributions to revitalizing traditional markets and shopping districts, was hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Small Enterprise and Market Service.
Since 2021, Lotte On has run ON DREAM, a cooperation project with small and medium-sized enterprises and small business owners, to help them expand online sales channels. The program supports businesses that lack e-commerce experience and online sales capabilities, covering everything from store registration and operational training to dedicated promotional events and exposure for marketing content.
In April last year, the company broadened that support with the launch of Onnuri Win-Win Store, aimed at merchants in traditional markets and neighborhood shopping districts. The store offers programs at each stage of the process, including online training, on-site consulting, registration and operational support, and platform-linked marketing. About 950 traditional markets have signed on so far, establishing a base for online sales.
Going forward, Lotte On plans to connect competitive products from traditional markets and local regions with customers nationwide, and to build a digital ecosystem in which small business owners can grow in the online market.
"We will continue to use Lotte On's e-commerce capabilities and our various online and offline channels to support the sustained growth and expanded sales channels of traditional markets and small business owners," said Kim Jang-hoon, executive director of Lotte On's merchandise division.
