Sanaa – The Yemeni Houthi group announced on Wednesday that it had launched attacks in Saudi Arabia, targeting Aramco facilities in Dhahran, King Khalid International Airport, and the Aramco refinery in Riyadh.
Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree said that operations targeting airports and oil facilities in Saudi Arabia would continue in the coming days.
Saree added that the missiles and drones “accurately hit their targets, causing damage to the targeted sites and setting fires.”
In a related development, Yemeni sources reported that Saudi warplanes launched four airstrikes targeting Houthi gatherings in the Harib district of Marib province.
Saree indicated that Saudi Arabia “carried out 2,281 airstrikes and missile attacks on Yemen during the escalation period,” threatening to continue targeting airports and oil facilities in the Kingdom in the coming days.
He also warned shipping companies, civilians, and employees at airports and oil facilities to stay away from these locations, deeming them "legitimate targets."
The Saudi Ministry of Energy had previously announced in a statement that an administrative building belonging to Aramco was attacked in the city of Dhahran in the eastern part of the Kingdom, causing a small fire but no injuries or fatalities.
Saudi Arabia also announced the interception and destruction of a ballistic missile "launched by the Houthi militia toward Riyadh."
