Matières Fécales is everywhere right now. The experimental Parisian fashion label co-founded by Canadians Hannah Rose Dalton and Steven Raj Bhaskaran has been seen on everyone from Zendaya to Lady Gaga to Rihanna. The pair recently outfitted Gabbriette for her wedding, and they dressed Demi Moore in a showstopping pink ballgown for the Cannes Film Festival. At Paris Fashion Week in September, the designer duo grabbed even more headlines when they treated their runway show as a simultaneous form of protest (which has become a bit of a pattern ever since they were added to the PFW calendar back in 2025).
Now, in a somewhat surprise move, Priyanka Chopra has become the latest to endorse the provocative label, after she stepped out in a look pulled straight from the house’s Spring/Summer 2027 ready-to-wear collection.

At the Imagemaker Awards hosted by InStyle in Los Angeles on Thursday evening, Chopra hit the red carpet in a baby-pink set with gold floral jacquard detailing throughout.
The jacket featured a peplum waist and a plunging neckline, while the long sleeves featured splits running up the center for the Citadel star’s arms to peek through. Around back, a train trailed behind Chopra creating its own pink carpet on the floor, and both the jacket and the midi skirt were trimmed with tattered material along the hems—a signature of the house.

Chopra wore a look from the provocative French fashion label Matières Fécales.

While Chopra made a few changes from how the fit originally appeared on the runway—like nixing the fabric sash that crossed the model’s body, as well as the white opera gloves—she still styled the design with the house’s pink sandal-like heels.
Over the years, Chopra has often spotlighted South Asian labels like Gaurav Gupta and Amit Aggarwal, and it makes sense that she has become the latest advocate for Matières Fécales. At the brand’s SS27 show, designer Bhaskaran embraced his Sri Lankan and Guyanese roots, imbuing the sartorial codes of those nations into the designs by teaming up with Tilfi to craft handwoven textiles like Banarasi sarees.
It seems no one can resist the Matières Fécales fever—and how could you, when the clothes are this gorgeous?
