Kashmir-Bound Bus Attacked In Karnal Over Parking Row; 2 Detained As Police Rule Out Hate Crime

A Kashmir-bound passenger bus travelling from Srinagar to Delhi was attacked near a dhaba in Karnal following a drunken brawl over parking. Stones and bricks were hurled at the vehicle, smashing bus windows and injuring passengers. Haryana Police from the Butana Police Station intervened, registered an FIR, seized a white Maruti Baleno, and detained two individuals for questioning. While the police ruled out a hate crime, attributing the clash to an altercation over parking space, passengers and the bus driver alleged they were targeted with abusive remarks. The incident gained traction after a video captured by a vlogger went viral, prompting political cognizance from Omar Abdullah.
