Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, on 24 October 2026, attended a working dinner with members of the ASEAN Committee in Doha (ACD), on the sidelines of his participation in the 9th World Investment Forum (WIF). The engagement provided an opportunity for Dr. Kao to exchange views with the ACD on ASEAN–Qatar relations following conferment of ASEAN Sectoral Dialogue Partner status on Qatar in July 2026, as well as on the ACD’s role in promoting ASEAN’s interests and visibility in Qatar.
