Colombo, Oct. 19 (Daily Mirror) - The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) has arrested Sanjaya Samarasinghe, the private secretary to Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) MP Namal Rajapaksa.
The arrest follows an investigation into a safe found at Samarasinghe’s residence in Mount Lavinia during a search conducted by a joint team of Bribery Commission officers and the Police.
During the operation, officers searched the premises, recorded statements and took the safe into their custody.
CIABOC arrested Samarasinghe today after recording statements in connection with the safe found at his residence.
